The next edition of OFF Festival, which traditionally is organized in August, will again last for four days. As previously announced, the fifth edition of the most important alternative festival in Poland will take place from 5th until 8th August 2010.
 
Since 2006 the audience of OFF Festival has been gathering in the city of Myslowice, the place of birth of festival’s Creative Director – Artur Rojek. Sadly neither Artur nor the fans from Poland and other countries will be able to celebrate OFF Festival’s 5th anniversary in the place of its origin. OFF Festival 2010 had to find a new location.

But we are happy to announce that OFF Festival is staying in Silesia region of Poland!

OFF Festival 2010 will take place in Katowice in Dolina Trzech Stawow (Three Lake Valley).
 
The new location is not only the new chapter in the history of the festival but it opens new possibilities for participants of this the constantly developing project.
 
Katowice is the capital city of Silesia, the heart of 2.1 million habitants region. Thanks to moving to Katowice, the access to the festival site will be even easier than before.
Dolina Trzech Stawow (Three Lake Valley) is located only couple of kilometers away from the main train station in Katowice. International music fans, whose number at OFF Festival grows each year, can use transport connections with the international airport in Pyrzowice, which is located only 30 km away from the center of Katowice.
 
The new location of OFF Festival is the center of leisure. Dolina Trzech Stawow (Three Lake Valley) is an unusual place in the city. The park is stretched between two housing estates: Osiedle Paderewskiego and Muchowiec (at Gornoslaska and Murckowska streets). It took its name from the three small lakes, which have their own marina. Many walkers who are looking for the refuge from the city’s bustle frequent the paths in the park. There are many accommodation places near the park.

There’s a camping site and car parking in the park but especially for the growing audience of OFF Festival, there will be an additional tent site that can accommodate couple of thousands people.

The Valley of Three Lakes is placed next to Lasy Murckowskie (Murckowskie Forrests) and an airport used by Silesian Aeroclub.

We are hoping that the audience of OFF Festival will find the new location in Dolina Trzech Stawow (Three Lake Valley) more accessible, will like the new set-up of festival’s stages and will decide to spend a part of their summer listening to great music in relaxing surroundings.
